About Word Branch ESL

Word Branch ESL's Story

Word Branch ESL began as part of my larger vision for education, launched with Word Branch Education in 2022. Drawing on my experiences as a teacher, an English language specialist, and a traveler who has worked with students across continents, I saw the need for a program that serves international students in more personal ways.

This change allowed me to focus more deeply on helping students develop not just language ability, but the confidence and cultural awareness needed to succeed. Every session is shaped by what I’ve learned from years in classrooms and from exploring the world alongside my students.

Today, I’m proud that Word Branch ESL is a trusted partner for those seeking to unlock academic opportunities and communicate with clarity and confidence—helping students thrive wherever their ambitions lead them.

My Philosophy

 I believe that every student is unique, and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to education. That's why I take the time to get to know each of our students, and I tailor my tutoring programs to meet their individual needs and learning styles. 

My Background

  I hold a Master's in Literature and Writing as well as a BA in English, and I am certified to teach English as a Second Language. Over the years, I have tutored with respected organizations such as International Language Plus, North Carolina Educational Corp, California Educational Corp, and the Cherokee County, NC School District. My collegiate teaching experience includes positions at Wilmington College, Defiance College, and Wright State University, where I have helped diverse learners reach their language goals.
